Founded by author and publisher MaKeisha “Lady K” Barber, Barber Legacy Press was built from the belief that words can meet people in real places, help them process what they have lived through, and remind them that becoming is still possible.

MaKeisha “Lady K” Barber is an author, speaker, publisher, and purpose-driven leader whose work is deeply connected to faith, healing, growth, and legacy.
Her journey as an author began with a desire to tell the truth about healing while life is still happening. Through books including Grace in Real Time: Healing While Still Living, Letters I Never Sent, and Alignment Over Approval, she writes from real experiences and creates space for readers to reflect, release, rebuild, and move forward with greater clarity and purpose.
As Founder of Barber Legacy Press LLC, MaKeisha is building more than a publishing company. She is creating a platform for meaningful stories—stories that encourage honest conversations, personal transformation, and the courage to become.
Her leadership extends beyond publishing. She is also a speaker, community-minded leader, and Founder and Grand National Basileus of Sigma Omega Rho Sorority, Incorporated, where she helps lead a Christ-centered organization committed to sisterhood, service, leadership, and meaningful community impact.
Whether through a book, a conversation, a stage, or an organization, MaKeisha’s message remains consistent: your story is not over, healing can happen in real time, and what you have lived through can still become part of the legacy you build.
